Slough Immigration Aid Unit
Slough Immigration Aid Unit is a charity giving legal advice, help and representation in immigration, refugee and nationality law. We are regulated by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner ( OISC).
What SIAU does :
We provide legal advice, assistance and representation to people who live, work or study in Slough and neighbouring areas, and their families, who have difficulties with UK immigration, nationality or refugee law and practice.
We provide a free service to people on low incomes and who would normally qualify for Legal Help (previously known as Legal Aid). Where people's income or savings are too high to qualify for Legal Help, we operate a cost recovery process, meaning we charge a fee to cover our costs only; we do not make any profit.
We aim to provide a competent, well-informed advice service. Staff and trustees of SIAU have extensive experience and are accredited to work in the immigration and asylum field.
We work with other groups giving advice and representation in such cases.

What we can help you with We can help and advise on most aspects of immigration, refugee and nationality law, including:

|
Our resources are limited and we cannot assist everyone who seeks our help and advice. If we are not able to assist you we will advise you accordingly or refer you to the appropriate organisation. We would like to help more people but are constrained by lack of funds. We welcome any financial contribution to our work, however large or small, to help us to continue providing this service. |
